Yoder Family Roofing was started in the spring of 1998 by Aaron Yoder, who built his small roofing business by hard work and establishing long term relationships with customers. In the early years of Aaron’s business, a young man who was just out of high school came to work for Yoder Family Roofing. This young man named Merle began as a cleanup boy for Aaron and later found his own niche in roofing while on Aaron’s crew. In 2008, Aaron decided to retire from roofing to pursue farming and made the decision to sell the business to Merle. Because Merle took over the business during the economic downturn of 2008, he needed to dig deep to prove his small roofing business. Merle focused his business on integrity, quality, and growing his business through customer referrals.
